THE PRODEF GROUP AND THE CSR
A French family SMB created in 1924, the PRODEF Group has survived many decades thanks to a medium and long term vision and a desire to last and transmit a healthy activity to future generations.
The combination of this vision and this desire are two dimensions which form the DNA of our family company and which naturally find their meaning within the context of the CSR commitment which has been gradually imposed and structured for many years.
Our group is firmly established in the territory, with three production units, one in Bourgogne, Hygiène & Nature, where cleaning, hygiene and disinfection products for professional use and the general public are manufactured, and the two other ones in the Provence Alpes Côte d’Azur region, one near Nice, which manufacture sponges and a product dear to all lovers of beautiful cars, la Nénette, and the other one in Marseille, Savonnerie du Midi, whose origins date back to 1894.
With our 120 employees, we have developed a French and international clientèle, with sales in more than 38 countries.
OUR CSR PROCEDURE
Our CSR procedure, which is articulated around four main axes and which has witnessed the recognition and rewarding of many of its initiatives, has been part of this industrial, geographical, human and economic context for many years:
This is expressed in many ways at PRODEF: health, safety and well-being at work, skills development, commitment in the business activity areas where we operate and showcasing our activities via cultural spaces and across all our different units of production.
Transparency and efficiency is part of our corporate governance. It involves the responsible development of certified products, a requirement charter concerning our suppliers and the gradual awareness of our employees.
This involves the eco-design and certification of ecological and innovative cleaning, hygiene and cosmetic products, the desire to gradually move towards a zero-plastic policy and towards paper/bulk packaging, the reindustrialisation of our sites while respecting the surrounding environment, and continuous cleaning measures.
At PRODEF, we take the interests of our stakeholders into account, both locally and with our consumers. The rehabilitation of our Marseille industrial site, while respecting traditional production tools, has therefore been a major line of investment by the group.
In addition to the programmes undertaken for many years, the rewards received and the certifications obtained, the PRODEF Group, although not restrained by the law in this case, intends to have a raison d’être, within the context of the PACTE (Plan of Action for Business Growth and Transformation) law.

Loyal to our one hundred-year history, we are a family group which designs and manufactures, in France, natural and efficient hygiene and cleaning products, allowing everyone to evolve in a healthy environment, and respecting the planet’s resources.
Our different production sites, committed to their territories, build their sustainable growth on a medium and long term vision. They unite the transmission of artisanal know-how and technological innovation.
Motivated collectively by a spirit of conquest, we wish to be, in France and abroad, a showcase of our country’s quality and know-how.
